hi there
im looking for one of those pipes that you put on the roof to store pipes and slips  etc. my van is small so i cant carry standard 8 ft lengths of trim etc. i have to put them through the mesh bulk head .
i was thinking of making one out of a 4" sewer pipe but i dont think it is safe enough as breaking sudenly would shove out the blanks (even glued in) as even a slight knock will shove them out when not glued.

can anyone reconmend one of the proper ones

thanks alan

Be careful of slips on your roof (racking, etc.)...

I have a aluminum conduit carrier that is made by "prime design" that has been great. end caps are aerodynamic and close tight.  Everything is made from aluminum or stainless except for the end caps.  I think i payed just under $200 from industrial ladder
