He took too long to sort out what was going to happen from day 1.

Everyone abandon him and he has to start over on his full swing.

I say by the end of the year his putting will be back and that means he will be back to winning everything he enters.

 

And his image and bank account still got hosed.  I guess that is what happens when you live your life under the microscope of the public eye.

I hope his caddy sticks it out for Tiger's sake.

He stepped out on his wife countless times, and promoted himself as a Dudley Do-Right to the masses and someone for our kids to look up to.  Sorry, but as far as I'm concerned, he's gotten a slap on the wrist so far and the sooner he fades into obscurity the better.  People of low character don't deserve to be champions!

His image and bank account were what they were because of his image as an insanely talented golfer who also happened to be a young, black male that was apparently squeaky-clean and (later) family-man enough to be safe for white America.

If people were aware of what he was doing while it was happening, there is no way he would have had his "image" or the same bank account balance.  He benefited from the very "microscope of the public eye" that did him in.  So he didn't get "hosed" because he would never had those things in the first place if the public had known he was reinforcing -to the nines - the very stereotypes that they fear.

You live by the sword, you die by the sword.  

I see you forgot to mention the hurt that must have been inflicted on two young children, and will continue to be inflicted upon them as they grow up.

Woods hasn't failed to win a tournament since his affairs became public because of the "crucifixion" he has received in the press and from the public.  He has failed to win because for whatever reason - physical, mental, or swing - he is no longer the best golfer out there. 

I am not ashamed that I am not unhappy to see him raking in a few less tens of millions than he once did.     

If he wasn't made out to be such a family guy by his PR people, I don't think it would have mattered so much.  But it is disheartening to have what we believed to be a decent family upright guy turn out to be such a cheater.  He didn't just cheat once or twice here, seems he was doing it quite frequently over a long period of time.
There's probably a lot of guys who cheat who are sports guys/celebrities and don't get the scrutiny he has doing it, but he was like a can do no wrong type, which helped make him likely richer than he would have been otherwise with his endorsements, and now he's rightly paying a price.

I HAD a friend that cheated on his wife repeatedly and got caught.  I couldn't believe the audacity he had trying to say that because the shine had left the bedroom, it justified his actions.  Real narcisist attitude, which I found to be completely tasteless towards his now former spouse.  I've seen how she has taken the high road, and how he is bent on creating such trouble just so that people lose track of who is really to blame.  You don't know people sometimes.

If I was single btw, I'd love to have the gals chasing after me as well, but I'm not, and when in a relationship and/or married, one is not to do these things.  Or am I nuts and this is OK.

I only mentioned that he doesn't DESERVE to be champion.  If he ever does get back up on top, it won't be because of the esteem of so many who he has let down with his now known low morals cheering him on.  Some folks just want to see what is the best golfer of this generation win at any cost, but there are others who will no longer be fans as a result of his actions.  We all know what he's capable of, but his mental game seems to be a train wreck right now.  Who knows if he'll ever be able t put it back together.

I have an in-law (actually, my wife's in-law) who vigorously defends Tiger Woods throughout this.  Feel it is unfair for him to be treated like this, says "look what he's done for golf", "everybody did it", etc.

He cheated and (if I had to bet) probably still cheats on his wife.  Fancy that.

There can be no denying a great part of his fortune has come from the squeaky-clean, family-guy image he so carefully cultivated for the public's consumption. I am not going to shed a tear if that fortune suffers because his own actions reveal that image to be a sham. 

If he was unhappy with his wife he should have separated from her instead of seeking out the company of so many women of such very questionable repute.  But of course if he was unhappy with his wife he still wouldn't have separated from her because it would have cost him lots of endorsement dollars.  This is not a man who found his soul-mate somewhere else. 

He's still going to make his millions.  Just not so many of them.

What about Wilt Chamberlain, now there was a lady's man.
