Are you referring to the Martin Kaymer show?

Jordan Spieth amazes me and I love to watch him play. He's so young and he rarely hits a horrible shot, unlike Phil and Garcia who are more fun to watch for their blow ups.  Kaymer blew the coarse apart. He did have an advantage playing so early, but to get the score he got, wet or dry greens the dude crushed the coarse.  Jimenez takes my vote for favorite golfer though.  He is awesome. The sand trap flier then the sand trap eagle was great, the dude is unflappable and always smiling.

I have to admit - I'm a TIGER fan so until he recovers (if he ever does) I just watch the others when I have time.  I never watched golf until I took up the game at 53 years old and found out how stinking hard the game is.  It is kinda like non-soccer fans trying to watch the World Cup to see what the excitement is without knowing about the great almost impossible plays being delivered by the top tier teams and players.  Golf is like that for the inexperienced.

You gotta like tiger.  The guy can hit shots where the announcers can't even fathom what he is doing until the ball is in the air.  But agreed, if you don't play golf, it would be impossible to watch.  A fade and nice draw is only amazing to watch to those who have tried to hit them consistently. My wife is about to lose it here watching me fast forward on the dvr to watch the players I like.   I had to say, I sit with you through the Bachelor and bachelorette, without complaint mind you, cut me some slack here haha.

Shows like the Bachelor and Bachelorette is why we have two HDTV's and two Digital Recorders, we agree to disagree [wink]  Martin Kaymer is still keeping a cool head and is going to be hard to beat tomorrow.

I was around 12 yrs old when i played my first game of golf.  After somewhere over 200 swings >>>>for NINE HOLES, it became my last game.  I was working all day in the fields tossing hay or in the woods helping cut wood for the wood stove.  Working in hot sun lugging a bag full of iron was not my idea of relaxation.  My days of rest went back to a cool shady spot along the river bank with a bamboo pole in my hand hoping no fish would bite to wake me up.  Of course, I do like to watch some of the women play.

I tend to agree with Tinker and when I was a young lad golf was the last thing on my mind but, somewhere in my mid 50's my sons took me out for a Fathers day of golf and I became hooked.  Now many years later spending my mornings at a golf course which is more like a park I enjoy challenging myself with one of the hardest games I ever played and as the other guys in my two senior mens golf clubs I enjoy the time spent outdoors in a competitive sport.  We have over 10 guys in their 90's playing (and winning) golf twice or three times a week and the medium age of our two clubs with a combined membership of close to 300 players is close to 70 years old!

Jack, Maybe when I reach 40 I'll take up the game (been 39 for a lot longer than i wasn't.  i guess in a few more years I'll get to 40) >>>  some sort of game  >>> anything but golf that is. [eek]
In the meantime, I am still playing out side all year.  Playing with my toys that make lots of noise and replacing divots and getting paid for that ::).  I do get to rest now and then as the raspberries are getting ripe.  Ah!  they are so tart/sweet right now.  Aaannnnd, they are right along the edges of my mowing areas >>> in the shade.  8)  A week or so after the raspberries are done, the blackberries become very tasty.  This summer seems to be bringing a bumper crop.  I keep plenty of toothpicks on hand. [unsure] A bag for toothpicks is much easier to lug around than a bag full of iron. [big grin]
