My son loves Thomas the Train, the wooden train tracks they sell are a complete rip off.  Has anyone built wooden toy train tracks?

My local hobby shop for model trains carrys it in bulk at such a reasonable price it wouldn't pay to make it myself.   Understand about the cost on certain brands tho.

Thank you for the info.  Making my own also allows me to make much longer lengths of track, which will make my son very happy.
