Terms and rules

“Communities” (or “Community” when used in the singular) refers to the public online discussion spaces hosted or recognized by Festool USA and Festool Canada. This includes, but is not limited to, official Festool Facebook pages, private groups, and the Festool Owner’s Group forum. These platforms are intended to provide an open, informal environment where users can share experiences, exchange ideas, and discuss Festool tools.

Festool USA does not pre-approve or actively moderate the content shared within these public Communities. Information posted by users does not represent the views or endorsements of Festool, its affiliates, or its employees.

Festool does not endorse the use or application of its products in any way other than as described in the official Festool Instruction Manual. To reduce the risk of serious injury or damage to your tools, always read, understand, and follow all safety warnings and instructions provided with your Festool product.

While Festool makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of information on its website and online platforms, some content may contain inaccuracies or become outdated over time. Festool makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of content found on its website or in its Communities. We cannot be held responsible for improper posts or any reliance on material shared by other users.

All content within our Communities is provided for general informational purposes only and should not be considered professional or technical advice. Any use of such content is entirely at your own risk.

COMMUNITY RULES:

(1) Be Kind and Courteous: We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required. Users should exercise both common sense and courtesy in the messages they transmit on the Community and may not use the Community to transmit defamatory, obscene, and otherwise offensive communications.

(2) No Hate Speech, Harassment or Bullying: We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for everyone. Bullying, harassment, or degrading remarks — including those targeting race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, or identity — are strictly prohibited.

(3) Keep it legal: Illegal content and activity are not allowed under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, sexual, abusive, or suggestive material involving minors, predatory behavior, the sharing of illicit materials, and the solicitation or facilitation of unlawful transactions. All users are expected to comply with applicable laws and regulations at all times.

(4) No Spam: Please contribute meaningfully to the community. Excessive self-promotion, unsolicited links, repetitive posts, or irrelevant content are not permitted. This space is for genuine engagement, not advertising or disruption.

(5) Respect Everyone’s Privacy: Protecting the privacy of others is essential. Do not share personal or confidential information and never instigate harassment by revealing someone's identity or private details. Posting or threatening to post intimate or sexually explicit content without consent is strictly prohibited.

(6) No Direct Dealer Sales: To maintain a fair and community-focused environment, dealers (in official capacity) are not to promote, advertise, or sell products within this discussion forum. This space is dedicated to sharing knowledge, experiences, and support—not commercial transactions. Direct Peer-to-Peer selling, trading, or exchanging is permitted.

(7) Your Access to the Services: Use of the Services is limited to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Certain Services may have additional age-related requirements. Users are responsible for reviewing all applicable terms and notices when accessing the Services.

(8) Your Content and Use of the Services: Your ability to use the Services is subject to your full and ongoing compliance with our Terms. Any rights not expressly granted to you remain reserved. The Services may include various types of content, such as text, links, graphics, photos, videos, audio, streams, software, tools, or other materials. This also includes content you create, submit, or share through your account (“Your Content”).

We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of Your Content and do not endorse or guarantee it, whether expressly or implicitly.

(9) Copyright material: Users acknowledge and agree that they (i) will not have any copyright or other property rights in or to information that they (or others) post on the Community; (ii) specifically waive any such property rights; and (iii) hereby grant all users a license to use (including the right to publish) all information posted by them on the Communities.

(10) Moderators: Moderating is an unofficial, voluntary position that may be available to users of our Communities. We are not responsible for actions taken by the moderators. We reserve the right to revoke or limit a user’s ability to moderate at any time and for any reason or no reason, including for a breach of these Terms.
