Hi

I am trying to figure out how to chang a tiling layout and am wondering if any one here knows of a  plugin or something that will help me to achieve it

I have created some carpet tiles as materials and they come up nicely when I paint the required area. What I would like to do is change the layout currently they are all placed with the same orientation but i would like to turn each tile 90degrees to its neighbour or randomise the pattern. I haven't been able to find anything through google but surely I am not the only one who has wanted to do this.

I am using SU 8.0.15158 on Windows 7.

If you can help I would love to hear from you

Andrew,

Could you clarify - have you just created it as a material, or have you actually created the tiles as a component?

Can you attach a pic of where you're at so far, so I can see exactly what you're talking about?

select the shape and left click on your mouse. Select Texture from the drop down dialogue  box and then select position from the texture dialogue box. This will give you an overlay with 4 "pin" graphics next to an icon. Select and hold the green pin or graphic and pull clockwise or counter clockwise till your tile is correctly positioned.
