Alex,

[welcome] to the Forum!  Very nice setup!

What kind of woodworking do you do?  We don't have many members from Russia here.

I some times hold mine up with a wedge when I need to!  I dont like doing it!  I sometimes feel the blade draft on my arm when I forget I wedged the guard up and think dam da was close!  BUT unfortunately I have to wedge it up sometimes as the guard just gets in the way so much it deflects the blade or it gets hooked and stops me from cutting!

I just wish festool made the guard  so I could reach it with my thumb like Dewalts and Makitas chopsaws!   This would be ALOT safer as I could just flip the guard up with my thumb when I need to and when im finished I just let go and the blade is covered again!

It's more comfortable for me to work without blade guard.

You may work with it, as you wish.

I have one question for you.

It cost me about $250 (in roubles, of course). How much it will cost where you live?

(sorry for my english, I hope you understanding me :))

If you buy new the least expensive set, currently the price is $800 US or about 24961 roubles.

Sounds like you did real well in your purchase.

No, I meant how much the same hand-made sysport will cost for you.

Using cheaper plywood, I would say that $250 is right after you add in all the drawer slides, lumber, fasteners, etc.
If you jumped to Baltic Birch, I would say it might be closer to $350 or $400 or so.

Yes, It made of 15 and 20 mm birch plywood.

material prices in our city:

15 mm - 800-850 roubles (about $25-28) per 1,5*1,5 m sheet
20 mm - 1100-1200 roubles (about $35-38) per 1,5*1,5 m sheet
Also I used cheaper drawer slide, $3,5 per set ($70 total)

Shaman, will you paint your sysport a truly sectarian color? It would be logical:)

I know this is a stretch, but does anyone have any original photos of this?  It looks like none of the original photos are still available from the OP.

I can see 8 images in the original post by the author.

If you cannot see them, perhaps try a different browser?

If that doesn't work, and you're happy to wait a day or two - send an email to me (midnight.man at gmail dot com) and I'll download them and email them to you if you like :)
