This is not the only Festool product made in China. However, it does not mean much. After all, i-phones are made in China as well as many other top-notch products.

At least we know it'll last three years.

Which is longer than some iphones.

Being made in Germany did not help KS120.

I would pay more if it wasn't made in China.  That's one of the reasons I got into Festool being they were made in Germany.

Bummer...I was hoping for Germany, but had quietly acquiesced for Poland or the Czech Republic, but CHENA...I knew that price point was too cheap.  [sad]
And it's not even the latest generation.

You do know guys that some Festool batteries are also made in China. That's because of European Litheum battery manufacturing capacity.

Sysrocks are really Fan Toys just like tape measures, caps and pencils. Sure some here have paid good money for them, but often they are giveaways. For example in Aus at the moment you can get a Sysrock by redemption if you purchase a tool and dust extractor. But does that make up for no discount on a package? Another discussion.

And as China is probably making better electronic goods than Europe (with some extremely high if not stratospheric exceptions), what does it matter. Now if I found some real Festool tools were being made in China that would be different.  [eek]

If you don't like Signatures, just go to Look and Layout and tick No Signatures.

I am a firm believer you pay for what you get.  I don't mind spending more money on a tool that is quality and will last.  I had an issue with couple tools reliability being made in China.  I use my tools to make a living so quality matters.  That's my main reason to switching to Festool and tools made in the US and Europe.  I do understand that a lot of electronics are made in China,  I was just surprised that Festool had the the radio made in China.
