Woodpecker finally brought the Paolini pocket rule back and it’s now a permanent part of their line:

I’ve wanted one of these for a while but can’t choose between Stainless Steal or Aluminum. I’m leaning towards the SS because it’s thinner.

Feedback from those who already have one would be appreciated.

They sure look handy. But for 50 USD shipping (EU) [eek] and another ~ 30-40 USD import tax. No thank you.

I bought two of these last time they were a one time tool; 6" and 12". I was thrilled they came out and thought they would be heavily used tools. Hasn't worked out that way though. The 12" I gave to another carpenter friend. The 6" I could have really used a couple days ago while working on some stairs but don't know where it is.
I've got a bunch of woodpecker items I use regularly. Really thought Paolini rules would have been one of them but just not so. I've wondered if I made jewelry boxes or small stuff like that maybe they would have been more handy.

I got these the last time they came out. Love them, but get the SS. The red aluminum is too thick, too heavy, and dents far too easily. My Starrett 100mm double square remains my most-used small measurement tool, though. That's what actually never leaves my pocket. The Paolini pocket rules are just for when I need small(ish) measurements that are beyond the reach of the Starrett

I’m glad people are getting theirs, but I ordered close to the end of the window.  My stainless combo set is scheduled to ship the end of May.
