Box with an I.D. crisis
« on: August 17, 2007, 05:06 AM »
This is the second Gerronggang box I was commissioned to make. But its really not sure if it's a box or storage cabinet for 1/2 of Jimmy Beam and some glasses, or a place for storing your own copy of the Declaration. ;)

The body is Gerronggang, as is the interior top panel. The Outer top is Red Gum, as is the inlay (can only get better :(). All the panels, outer top, inner top and base are bookmatched. The handles are Peruvian Walnut, hand turned by a friend in South Australia.
I only used the Festools TS75, C12 and RO150FEQ on this. The other tools were a band saw (resawing) and the SCMS Mak 1412. Kipax must be soon! ::)
