Hi,
Not been on here for a while but I thought I'd ask the other members in the UK if they've seen the deal on eBay of 10 Festool mini systainers for £82 plus shipping. They come from Germany and I ordered mine on Monday and they'd arrived by Wednesday morning.

Works out not much more expensive than buying good Tupperware, just got to figure out what I'm going to do with them now.
My work is slowly splitting so it's 50% in the shop and 50% on site, meaning I'm always unloading and loading the van, the plan with these is to have everything divided and labled up so hopefully I won't forget anything. Fein sand paper in one, blades in another, jigsaw and planner blades in one, drill bits, etc. Do many others use these minis and do you divide tehm up yourselves or buy the inserts (which are as deal as the systainers themselves)?

That is an amazing deal.  Do you have a link to share with our UK members?

Peter

I got some from them last month, haven't filled them all yet. so far i have made dividers for two for my brad nails, hole saws in another and lunch in the 4th!

I picked one of these up in the sales, as I thought it would come in handy but it just kicked around for a few months, just couldn't find any real use for it. Everytime I thought I had found a use for it, it didn't work out, I found them just too small for my needs, Its now being used as a first aid kit, even with this function, everything has to be squeezed in.

I bought a 10 pack as well, even shipped to the states the price is impossibly low.

I find them very handy to place screws in, I didn't bother with inserts.  While not ideal, I have enough screws that I just pile them in next to each other.  They differ enough it isn't hard to distinguish them from each other.

I find the weight of a full multidrawer systainer is too cumbersome to lug around, as well as the drawers getting jammed when the screws shuffle.  The mini systainers are smaller, less weight and decent size for that purpose.  Then again, I have a mix of onsite and at home work, so portability matters a bit.

Hey Richard - can I ask what they charged for shipping to the US? I emailed them earlier but haven't heard back. Thanks.

Well, my bet is that the dealer / seller won't be shipping to the US anymore.  To do so would violate their dealer agreement.

The message I got back when I asked was:

"the shipping cost 43,90 EUR. "
