Just an FYI Gentleman.  You have an extra month or two to save your pennies up for that extra rail(s), production saw (TS75) or any other goodies.  Festool has officially extended the 10% off sale to the end of July!

Happy plunging and tracking with your saws [eek] :o [laughing]

That's great!!
Now maybe I can get enough saved up to get the 3000 rail.

Wise men think alike.  Just had a customer in WA take advantage of the 10% off and order one along with some other goodies.  That rail is HUGE!

I happened to be near Atlas tools today in Toronto, and had time to drop by for my first ever visit there.  They confirmed that the sale is on to the end of July.  They said that apparently there were some of the items in short supply and that Festool wanted folks to have as much opportunity to take advantage of the sale, although they did not know specifically which sale items were in fact running low overall.

It was nice meeting and talking to Richard, Shawn and Mike, and for a store relatively new to Festool since last September, they certainly knew their stuff.  In fact, I was there thinking of picking up the 3000mm Makita rail and save myself $100 or so, and they wisely pointed out that the Makita rail has limitations in use compared to the Festool rail due to an overhang on one of the tracks making the use of certain accesories such as the Parallel guides unuseable with it.  I had forgotten about having read that about the Makita rails here on FOG a while back in one of the threads.

Played with a Kapex for the first time, as well got to see a sysport for the first time up close.  Always thought both of those were overpriced, but not after today.  That sysport is a lot more rugged andwell built than I thought it looked like in the catalogue.  The Kapex will one day replace my old Sears chop saw for sure and get relegated to spending the rest of its days in the backyard shed instead of in the shop.
