Does anyone have qualified opinion or experience with this? I think there will be more torque, less power assuming same 60Hz. Wonder if Japanese manufacturers even bother to make different windings for domestic and US markets and simply stick different labels. It is often the case with UK 110V and US 120V, but the voltage difference is smaller. I have few UK 110V tools that work just fine.

That will depend on the exact internals of the tool. Things like incandescent bulbs will burn brighter if operated beyond design spec while also being more efficient (Lumen per Watt), but life is cut short manifold.

Definitely not less power. Insulation in the windings is definitely not gonna be an issue.
