I enquired of the local festool dealer about the copy ring set mentioned in Jerry Work's manual for the MFS. The response was that this was a custom item and I should get my local engineering shop to make me a set of brass bushes. I know that the set described by Jerry is not a festool catalogue item, but would have thought that festool could provide it here, so I am a little peeved with this response. From a practical point of view though, it may be just as easy for me to get some brass bushes made.
The local dealer indicated that the base plate for the copy ring set was just a standard festool copy ring. Is this the case? From the perspective of one who has copy rings for the 1010 router, would it be feasible just to get an engineering shop to make a couple of bushes, with a groove in the hole in the middle for a rubber o-ring?
