Hello all.

Thanks for the hours and hours of info available here.  This group has become one of my first sources for info and how to.

The other day a 1010 EQ-F Plus popped up on the recon site and I bought one as I am looking for better dust collection than my Dewalt Cordless 1/4" router.

Thrilled with my new tool I spent a few hours setting the router up with different bits and trying the 1010 in several configurations.

One thing noticed was that my chip collector that screws into the bottom does not have a protrusion from the mounting circle to cover the square air intake hole in the router base like in most videos online such as by Peter Parfit or Festool USA.  In order to gather the most dust and force the chip collector to be the air intake this cover certainly seems needed.

Does anyone know that part number for that collector?

Also in my searches of the forum last night it looks like there were posts about discontinuations of accessories for the 1010 EQ back in 2015-2016.  I am curious if that was indeed true as the edge guide I see in videos doesn't seem to be the same as whats available today.

Thinking that I am going to buy the parts to make my 1010 an edge trimmer (edging plate, angle arm and chip collector).

Are there any other must have accessories that are still available that should be purchased ?  Please also feel free to offer any 1010 tips you have if you do feel like typing them out.

Thank you.

*I am aware there is a newer 1010 Revised EQ router

I apparently didn't notice that the newer one was different? I have had a bushing in my F model since I got it and haven't used that part. I'll have to look at that specifically on Monday.
I agree with the edgingplate/angle arm, etc. just for the versatility. I have only used it that way once, since I have MFK 700 too.
I guess I never noticed an "older version" of the edge guide. What was different about them? More adjustable like the ones for the OF1400?

What different edge guide are we talking about?

Accessoires for the OF-1010 are plenty.

Ever checked out the LR-32 set? The MFS? The VS-600?  [tongue]

The guide rail adapter seemed like a must. I also had to get the edge plate/angle arm combo for one specific job but they worked perfectly. Mine came with the edge guide, I think, but I did add the fine adjustment accessory. Great little router.

I believe you're looking for 493180.

The Guide Stop for use with a guide rail likely came with your router. It's a good accessory to have. I would recommend getting the fence and micro-adjust. Beyond that, it depends on what you're doing with it. The Edging Plane and Angle Arm is great for trimming edge banding.

For freehand routing, I remove the clear plastic cover over the working area for better visibility of the bit. The OF 1010 is my favourite router and I enjoy using it every time.
