Hi folks - Does anyone have any experience with additional collet size options for the 1400. I would like a 3/8" option as well as a 10mm option. Would a shaft reducer be a possible option... or?
My purpose is to be able to plunge bore with a few more drill bit sizes as well as plunge bore with certain Freud carbide forstners (3/8" shaft) as well as possibly using certain diameter boring tooling for cnc machines which typically have a 10mm shaft - basically I'm looking to have more flexibility in plunge boring diameters. This practice is not in place of my using a drill press, it's needed for when my pieces are too large to practically fit within the confines of a drill press; I am aware of not necessarily being able to always match ideal spindle speed with the tooling speed and the very real dangers associated. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated thank you. Tristan

Being new to Festool I'm still learning a lot about all of the options and uses - having this group is VERY helpful and I look forward to when I have enough experience using these tools to contribute as you all do... again thanks!
