18+3 Drill making squealing sound

Hi, just got this drill and it's making squealing sound when trying to lock/unlock bit head.
When I close lock all the way and turn, sound disappears. But this happens everytime when I try to change to different bit head.

How are you locking/unlocking the head? On my old tools, I would use the trigger to lock/unlock the chuck, but that doesn't work with an electronic clutch like the T 18+3 has.

I hold the chuck and use trigger to lock/unlock. But it seems to give me squealing sound whenever chuck is not fully locked/unlocked. When it's in between, that's when chuck is making sound... very annoying.... sounds like something is inside brushing against the chuck.

Is the T18 Easy? I could not tell from the video - it did not sound overly concerning to me, but if it is new and within the 30 days I would exchange it.

This is "Festool 576754 T 18+3 E Cordless Drill Kit". So you do think this is not normal sound, right?

All of my drills sound similar.  And they have served well for a decade.  You have a three year warranty, so I might suggest you use them and see what happens, or as already has been posted return / exchange and see if that resolves your concerns.

Thanks for your input. I only used this few times less than two weeks from purchase.  I will see if I can exchange this since I love this drill.
