1and 3/4 walnut

good morning to ALL.
I have to cut 1"and3/4 walnut slab. Cross cut and rip. Will ts 55 cut it, and what blade do you recommend?

I find that the 28 tooth does a good job with it or the panther blade it the other option

Walnut is not a tough wood.  I would expect that it should cut well with the 28 tooth blade in both directions.  Assuming that you are using a rail for the rips, you might want o make a partial depth cut first and then the full depth cut.  On the rail the saw had a depth of cut of about 1 15/16" so you are fine.
