I just bought a new house (relocating to Downingtown PA) and the house needs a lot of work, and possibly adding a master suite. For some of the layout, tiling etc I think a laser will be super useful. Anybody have experience with both types? I'm currently condsidering:

Leica L2P5G

and

Dewalt DW089LG

I realize both are overkill for my needs, but they will ease some tasks, and I'm going to be doing most of the work solo.

I have the Dewalt DW089LG. It's a pretty incredible laser. Great for 360 degree leveling from one side of the room to the opposite. It is also nice to use as a plumb bob for placing lighting (such as lights over an island, etc.). I can't speak of the Leica but I imagine it is nice as well.

I have a Bosch 3-line laser and like it a lot.  I have the older red line but if buying today I’d for sure go with the green line units.  I’ve used mine for cabinets, tile walls, tile flooring, wainscoting, and many other uses.

I could not imagine doing much work today without a laser.
