I picked up a 2016 catalog today and thought I would share my initial thoughts.  I only quickly flipped through the book, but I was pleased to see the CT Sys and the Sys Combi's in the catalog listed as a summer availability.  I was somewhat surprised that the C12/T12 and the C15/T15 are no more.  I realize the 18V platform is the most diverse, but I thought one of the other formats would have survived.

The 12-volt tools were discontinued some time again. The 15-volt, at least for now, are still part of the regular line up.

Thanks for the insight. I wonder if I can get a copy, maybe if a place an order, what do you think Shane..?!  [huh]

I would be impressed if the Download version available as I post was actually 2016 rather than 2015!  [eek] [big grin]

I always look to the US catalogue because of its excellent photography, and because Tooltechnic Australia does not release digital catalogues.

Thanks [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member]

The Festool rep I spoke with earlier today told me the C15/T15 were done.  It doesn't matter to me either way as I don't have either drill nor was I in the market.  I do know my dealer quite stocking the 15s awhile ago.

It is not surprising. All tools move to higher and higher voltage, as battery technology progresses. Even 18V is already a yesterday's technology for many manufacturers.

[member=18038]copcarcollector[/member], yup, just let me know when you place it and I'll make sure one is in there. But, I think they are being put in anyway.

Was the HK or HKC listed in the catalog?  I am wondering what the price point will be.

Shane, it just received the Syst vac II and they did not include the new catalog. Maybe a word to shipping is necessary.

What was the price for the CT Sys? Or was it not given since it's not available yet?

Sorry if that is hard to read.  The CT SYS is listed at $375
I had to squint but I saw. First thing I said was "jeez". Not that I was expecting it to be cheap but I was thinking somewhere in the $200's. I'll probably pick up the catalog tomorrow, my local dealer gave it to me to look through yesterday and I didn't realize he meant I could have it until I left without it [emoji4]

[member=19746]Untidy Shop[/member] The Festool GB 2016 catalogue is available electronically. I'd have thought this might be better for you from a voltage/availability perspective?

Thanks for the link Garry. In the past the UK Catalogue has been incompatible, for me at least, with my IPad. This year no problem.  [smile]

And it certainly is a closer representation to what is available down here [although we are starting to have a YCHIAEE problem (YouCanHaveItAfterEveryoneElse); for example, corded 240V HK55, ETS-EC125 and delayed release of 5.2amp batts].

[member=19746]Untidy Shop[/member] "YCHIAEE" [scratch chin]

When you consider the only difference for us is which plug-it lead or which transformer to put in the box .. there's nothing complicating the game other than our pegging order with Festool Germany and the effort Tooltechnic Oz make for their customers. The fact that the lagging behind has all coincided with other significant business model changes by Tooltechnic, I tend not to think that Germany has anything to do with our "late adoption".

If I have the need to get the HK85, I'll simply get it from the UK and wear the potential service issue ... I want it, but don't need it yet and that's the only reason I'll wait for a local release.

The 240V HK55's seem to be selling at about $AU620 in a T-Loc (the HK85's are $AU1055), plus $AU90 for delivery. It'll be interesting to see what they're priced as locally when they're released [wink] [big grin]

... The CONTURO sets for $AU3000 from Italy on Ebay have got me very curious !!! Any Ozzies done this?

Yes Kev
In the UK, according to the Festool website price, the HKC 55 EB-Plus Li Basic is very close to the price of the 240V Basic model/no raill. But then they have dealer discounting.

Interesting if Tooltechnic, when they finally start importing the 240V model, price it around the 559A$ mark which is the price here of the HKC55 Basic.

Translation for YCHIAEE - it is from an ancient language and means . . . .  "Moomba". [Only the Aussies will know what that means!]
