2x72 belt grinders?

Hello all.  I know quite a few of you do metal work.  Currently i have a 1x30 and 5" disc delta combo sander.  You look at it wrong and it stops working.  lol
Been researching 2x72 grinders and i'm at analysis paralysis stage.

Trying to see what model people recommend.  So far I'm tracking towards vevor version from amazon (i can get 12 months equal pay, it comes with vfd and 3phase motor already) its about $1k delivered and I can easily change it from stupid 2x82 belts to 2x72 belts. 

Another option i came across is tauruscnc version but that requires vfd and motor to be purchased seperately.

I don't do custom knives as thats what it seems 2x72 grinder is most popular with.  Its mainly for tool cleanup that i get on marketplace, light wood sanding when needed and general around the shop use.

https://cootebeltgrinder.com/ are one of the best.  Made in USA and the prices are very reasonable (IMO).  Get yourself one of them and a nice leeson or baldor and you are on your way to belt grinder nirvana.

I jonesed for a 2X72 for years but just don't have the space for it. Eventually I settled on a 2X48 Kalamazoo and it's done everything I've needed. Single speed, 1/2 HP, I can stop it if I really dig in but in normal use it's been great. I got it on eBay, sold by MSC Supply, total cost was

I have two 1 x 42 and 2 x 42 sanders, both are Jets, mostly used for aluminum edge finishing but also for sharpening. I had two of the 1 x 30s for my modeling but they are definitely tinker toyish.

I don't really need it, its on my nice to have list lol.  I have 1x30 Delta with 5" disc (joke) and ridgid oscilating sander (little better joke) lol  it does the job for now, just very slowly and painfully. Trying to square a table on the delta is funny as entire thing is flimsy

If you think the Rigid is a joke, give the Wen a whirl, it's worse.
A 2 x 72 belt grinder would be a welcome thing, but what I'm really Jonesing for is an edge sander....completely different ballpark though.

For a while I was sort of loaded with Combo Belt/Disc sanders. I had the Goldilocks  set-up, large, medium and small. Small was the already mentioned 1x30" size, but mine was a Grizzly machine.
I replaced that with a Jet 1x 42", totally different working experience. Much stronger motor, much better tracking system, also has metal wheels versus plastic ones,  and easier belt replacement change-outs, and also much better dust collection with a Vacuum Hose attached.
Before you settle on the bigger 2x 72", give a GOOD 1 x 42" belt maching a whirl if possible. It will take up less shop shape than a taller 72" belt machine would need, and with an actual decent motor, it won't bog down that easily on you. Plus the 1 x 42" belt are pretty common for lots of grit and abrasive set-ups. I have fast cutting belts from 3M[ Cubic 2 I think], a leather polishing belt from Lee Valley to deburr a knife edge, and also micro-cutting/sharpening belts, also from Lee Valley.
For quick smaller work, light rust removal, the Jet has become my go-to combo belt sander in my shop since it uses less electricity than its bigger brothers , with their larger motors.https://jettools.com/metalworking/grinding-finishing/belt-sanders-and-grinders/577003
