Bungee cord from the ceiling worked for me for a long time until I rearrange the shop layout and have to move my MFT to some other spot. I really wanted to have some hose support closer to MFT, easy to go on and off, swings, solid, and cost effective.

Here it is. All I did was to buy a 3/4" black pipe "T" and a 12" long nipple.

Of course, I own a few pipe clamps, and have other stuff laying around. The 12" section might not be necessary, I just thought I would loose the other half of the clamp if I didn't have it...

The hook can slide along the pipe. The "T" is not threaded all the way in (backed out about one full rotation), so it's still swing freely. I can still take them down to use them as clamps within 30 second.

Not sure if any one has this idea in here, but I like to share this anyway.

Thanks. JZ

Nice idea.  I don't like my hoses on the floor but have been wondering if I would like a boom.  This would be a very low cost way to find out.

Thanks JZ.  We have those at HD and I happened to have a large one already.

Hi JZ, here's my take currently on a cheap boom arm, just some inexpensive pvc pipe 75mm I think it is. Screwed a couple of the pipe brackets to hold it vertical on the side of my wall cabinet next to my MFT. Put a 45 angle on a couple of places and velcro strapped the hose to it. No glue on the angles as I wanted it to swivel around so I get good travel with the hose. Cheap, lightweight and effective. I did have to put an extra bracket to support the 45's as I found I was pulling down the hose and pipe end a bit. So far after months of using it's going well. Also shown is the MFT table cart with drawers I made -from other FOG members ideas. Very handy. Thanks guys!
