I've got 2 of the sanders coming and assume I can't stack the two $50 coupons, but was wondering if I order a tracksaw with one if I'll still be able to get 10% of a MFT table?

Thanks

It's ambiguous. Is the package deal a promotion or not? Here's the disclaimer.

"To qualify for a voucher redemption, a customer must purchase a second qualifying tool and submit the proper information via the website www.festoolpro5.com to receive the $50 reimbursement. The voucher may not be used to purchase the PRO 5 LTD sander, accessories or consumable items; it also cannot be used in conjunction with ongoing promotions, closeout or discontinued items. It may not be applied to any previous purchase. Voucher expires December 31, 2017."

I think [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member]  or [member=57769]TylerC[/member] addressed that in another thread regarding vac discounts, IIRC the answer is yes, but hopefully one of them will confirm here.

You can use the voucher with packages deals. However, you can only use one voucher per order.

So, one voucher per package deal, essentially. No double dipping.

Gotta love a rebate with no terms and conditions!  [oops]

1. You can only use one voucher per item.
2. Vouchers cannot be used to purchase another PRO 5 LTD.
3. Vouchers cannot be used on consumables or accessories.

I bought the new 400 for @260.00 at the same time as the $99.00 special. Both scheduled for shipment in November. I am assuming, I can turn around and receive the reimbursement on the 400 with the Pro-5 voucher after presenting the proper paperwork.

Shane... don't you wish you went to law school?

That should work. We aren't allowing people to use the voucher on previously purchased tools, but I believe same-day purchases should be fine. We don't have anything that specifically says otherwise.

You call it a voucher, but the website calls it a rebate. How do we get the redemption? Check? Prepaid card? Instant dollar off coupon? What documentation do we need? Receipt? Submit online? Thru the mail? Is there a limit per household/address?.....terms and conditions...there are none! Totally unacceptable to run this type of promo without giving detailed instructions as to what this "voucher" really is. I thought it was going to be some kind of coupon or gift card, which I wouldn't have to jump through the hoop by submitting a rebate. Come to find out two days later that's not the case....

The voucher is the card you need to get the rebate.

Rebates will come in the form of a check. You'll need to provide your contact info and tool info (S-Nr and T-Nr) along with your voucher number.

Initially the plan was that people would use the voucher like a gift card, but that doesn't work for many online retailers.

If you find this "totally unacceptable" then don't buy one.

Couldn't have said it better Tyler. Tired of hearing, "it's too expensive", "could have bought this or that". Stop whining about it. If you don't want to buy a Festool product, then don't!! Stop posting on Fog. Seems like a lot of people want something for nothing.

Who knew that loss leader psychology could be so complex?

Thats fine. I've never owned a festool product and ordered when I saw the deal. Just seems the deal was launched short on details. A lot of companies use rebates as a marketing tool because there are ways to invalidate them on technicalities and not all people will submit the rebate. So to find out after I ordered I couldn't simply reduce the price of my next order was a bit of a disappointment. Original ads on retail sites used the image of a $50 gift card in the ad.

For me personally I read it as a future purchase, meaning AFTER I receive the voucher,  not something I buy before the voucher is even in my hands nor something I bought on the same day. I read it as I had  to have the Pro 5, get the voucher out of the box then make another purchase. Delivery day is not the same as purchase date. If you do get to use the voucher on the 400 chalk it up to a liberal policy.

I specifically held off buying myself because that's not how I read the voucher policy and am waiting for the voucher to be in hand and then order. So don't be surprised if you find out in this case that you cant use it on the 400, I re read and just don't see they have to honor that for you.

It's in Festools best interest to, folks can just return and buy a new one which costs Festool a lot more.

Boy oh boy, I can't wait til the vouchers show up for sale on all the bargain sites.

And, the ensuing storm when you find out your coupon/voucher/rebate number isn't valid cause it's already been used - before it was "cough" gifted to you for a "cough" donation !  [eek]

What dates are the rebate valid for?
I pre-ordered a sander. If I were to purchase a CXS today. Would I be able to use the voucher against that purchase when I receive the voucher?

Basically, Should I wait until Nov 1st to purchase a CXS? Or can I order it today?

That's a good question.  It would be nice for some people to be able to buy now and get the rebate later.  However, there is the (small) risk you won't get the sander/voucher you ordered.
