Number one: Can it be done with adapters, perhaps the D36 to D50 one (452897)
Number two: do you gain any suction power by doing it?
EDIT: Was thinking specifically of whether it would work with the tubing on the Industrial Cleaning Set, 454770 (only a couple of weeks left on the 20% off deal, so I'm thinking about it).
