575716 cordless orbital ("High Pitched" noise when running)

Brand new to the page, sorry if this post is in the wrong section, Just throwing this out there if anyone has had this issue:

I have a 575716 cordless sander brand new, used it twice. It makes a very high pitched sound when running? I’m wondering if this is normal or if perhaps I got a defective machine?
