I'm attempting to find out if a 10-series extrusion could have the slot opening widened 1/16 and work otherwise with a festool clamp.  Is the channel wide and deep enough below the slot?  If someone has a piece of 8020 10-series can you stick the tip of one of your clamps in the end of the rail where the slot starts?

Nope - channel is neither deep enough or wide enough. Depth of channel = .325"
Clamps fit nicely in 8020-15.

Bummer, thanks for checking.  Looks like I'm back to the drawing board.  Have a bunch of the 15-series and it works just fine, just needed something that was a thinner profile overall for a project I was working on.

Thanks again.

I buy my 8020 from EBay and use alot of the 3034 extrusion which is .75" thick, 3" wide and has two slots.

Check out the 1575 profile.  It's basically just a single t-track with the track dimensions off the 15 profile.  The xx75 indicates that it is .75" thick.  If you need a double track, the 3034 profile, as [member=25351]rst[/member] mentioned, will do the trick.  Same .75" thickness as 1575.

MISUMI may have something that fits your requirements. They have a global presence, I think.

I'd like something that has a trac on the top too.  The 3034 profile only has tracks on one face otherwise it would be perfect.
