As the title says, do I need to buy the $30 access hole jig or any other jigs for counterboring for anchor fasteners or can I just clamp the extrusion and use my drill press?  Not sure if these are to keep cordless drills straight or if the bit can walk on a press also. The jigs aren’t cheap but if they’re unnecessary I’ll save my money.

Ditto on the 8020 jigs, they insure accuracy and keep the holes square.  I have two, one for 10 series and one for 15 series.  They really do save time.  I use and have made drilling jigs with drill bushings for 38 years.  I do commercial glazing and use drilling jigs so that jobs can be prefabbed and assembled on site.  I prepped entire storefronts in the shop and hauled them three hours for installation.  Makes working like playing with erector sets, which I'm old enough to remember having.

no jig for counter bores, use one with same size pilot, I use wd-40 for lube, aluminum is gummy and galls
