I'd like it if I could plunge the bit and have it stay out so I could eyeball bit alignment on a given piece. It would require that it not be able to power up when engauged for safety reasons.

I think you could accomplish this with some kind of rod clamp. I will look at my Domino tonight and see if I can think of anelegant way. Asfor not powering up, how about disconnecting the Plug-IT?

I want a switch to be able to disengage the oscillation so you can just drill.
Tha would be handy.

Yeah, great idea.  Even if it required the purchase of different bits, it'd be worth it.

BTW, I'm still waiting for Festool to pay Blum or some such company to start making hinges that will fit into recesses bored by the Domino.  Again, might require the purchase of different bits, but can you imagine how much time that would save?  It seems to have been a money-maker for Lamello.

Also BTW, why isn't this thread in the "Talk to Festool" sub-forum, or whatever it's called?

Regards,

John

Great idea. Now it'll be the best doweling tool.

Great idea, I'll post this in the "wish list" section, of course I'll act like it was my idea.  ;)

Here's Eiji's idea in the wish list section.. It might be best to discuss this idea there instead of pulling this thread off topic.
