Dear FOG members,
I would like to introduce myself. I am Rick Bush, the VP of Marketing for Festool USA. Some of you may already know me or we met at an event or show. I’ve been with the company for 15 years now in various roles from Sales to Marketing. I’m not only a Festool employee, but also a Festool customer and Festool user. My favorite tools are the TS 55, the Domino, the Rotex RO 150, the MFT, and, of course, a CT! And, naturally, I frequently use the T18.
It seems now to be a good time to introduce myself as I’ve been in this role for seven months now and I’ve had a chance to get my feet wet a bit. Festool USA has seen lots of change over the years and especially in this past year. And we will continue to change, adapt, and improve. We are working feverishly to do a better job. A better job in everything we do with sales, marketing, and customer care.
It is with this spirit that I write to you today. As the year winds down, we are winding up! And we are ready to hit the ground running in 2020. As I write this our entire sales team is heading to Lebanon, Indiana to learn about our plans for 2020. More on that later…
For now, as the year draws to a close, we reflect on the past. Not only 2019 but all the years leading up. Festool has gone from a relatively obscure player in the North American market to a viable brand with concepts and products that are emulated in the industry. We recognize we could not do this without our loyal customers. The early adopters that took a risk so many years ago to try out these concepts. The active and supportive members of the community that have done so much for the brand and for their fellow enthusiasts! The helpful posts, the questions answered, the helping of one another to realize even greater value from these products. It’s been a beautiful thing and one that should keep going.
We are proud of your contribution, involvement, and engagement. In a world with myriad platforms of communication, the FOG stands as a meaningful and valuable piece of the Festool world. Thank you for your contributions and thank you for your support.
On behalf of all of us at Festool North America, we wish you all a wonderful holiday season and we look forward to a happy new year!
