A Very Multi Function Table

The height of this table is 900mm. It has loads of saw kerfs, drill holes, router edge tests etc all over it. A 3m rail slices up 8' x 4' sheets on this as well as many other processes where it's very handy having a sacrificial top.

Underneath the 15mm MDF top is a 8' x 4' x 1" plywood worktop with 275 x 20mm holes made with an LR-32 system, this has a 100mm tall MDF base so all Festool clamps can be used or any kind of clamp round the sides.

Underneath this MFT type worktable there is a torsion box assembly table. In this photo the MFT is on saw horses in front to create a 8' x 8' assembly table.

Or they can be moved apart to make an even bigger table or just as 2 separate work surfaces.

Yep, that seems to have nailed it! The trestles are rather sturdy

With a cms running in between the tables it'd almost as if the entire floor has been raised 900mm - one big continuous infeed/outfeed, tool-rest, sandwiches and coffee peripherally co-planar geo-static multiplexed Euclidian referenced environment.

I'd kill for a worktop large enough to put 2x 8'x4' benches in, let alone have room to walk round them too! [drooling]

I like the 90 degree clamp jigs. Might have to copy that idea from you.

I had a play with the 90 degree clamp jigs.

Absolutely spot on.

I made the same angles using an angle for a template to insure true 90* out of MDF
