Adjustable boring bar heads

I’ve been looking into making wooden rings on a Oneway 2434 lathe,

The YouTube videos all show using a boring bar head that indexes in 1000th inch increments. This is to creat a perfectly round hole the prefect size for a steel insert, The steel insert is glued is and the ring finished.

Anyone used on of these indexing heads.

I've used one on a Bridgeport knee mill, that's what they were designed for. However, there's no reason they wouldn't work in a lathe.

You'll need the boring head, an arbor and some tooling (a boring bar), either HSS or one that uses carbide inserts.
