Hi guys,

Absolutely love this forum and wondered if you had any face masks you use and would recommand ?

I've been looking at some of the ones below but any real life feedback is more than welcome.
Thanks

I am not sure of the context of their use?
Looks more useful for a hockey match than in a shop.

I have a 3M brand dust mask that gets worn a lot, so it depends what is being masked from your face?

Those masks should work for face and eye protection from wood chips and splinters but it might not stop airborme saw dust or volatile organic compounds.

If you are wood turning or drilling the mask would provide some protection but for as noted these mask will not stop airborne sawdust or VOC gases. Both of these could be breathed and depending upon the species of wood one or chemical, paint or other finishing liquid, could cause mild irritation to an allergic reaction.

You need face masks beneath these masks.

For the most part wrap around safety glasses should suffice for most wood work to keep an flying debris from the entering the eyes.

You want something that won't make you hot and anything enclosed will. My personal preference would be to wear safety glasses or prescription eye protection and then add something like a hard hat & mesh screen combo when you're doing something more dangerous.

Hi guys,

Sorry for the late response and thanks for your feedback.

For now I have Uvex goggles and a Festool Midi vac.
My idea is that the goggles can get a bit sticky / tight after a long use.

The face mask was considered just because I saw them online and thought it could be a good idea.

Do you guys wear any good protection glasses with a good seal ( that would be lighter than goggles) against airborne particles ?

Many thanks for your help

I don't wear anything round my eyes that seal. I rely on DC to get the debris out of the air and the eye protection is simply there for projectiles.
