Guys would £200 ish get me any decent spray equipment to spray about 80m2 of deck and 80m2 of close board fence.
Last time I finished them it took about 4 days with the brush, thanks

I go this route occasionally, and here is how I fly...

Hey Scott, how do you like that Super Deck?  Our SW started carrying it last year.  Interested if it is significantly better than the Deckscapes solid color product.

I love Deckscapes and have used it for years with absolutely no problems. Love it.

We tried Duck Back to see how much better an elastomeric would be for longevity in harsh exposures. So far so good.

Here is a article about it that I have in the current issue of American Painting Contractor magazine, flip to page 12...

Great article, I have a deck coming up this spring that is a prime candidate for this product.  Also, I like the Festool product placement next to your article!

Thanks, and yes I am always honored when Festool advertises in the magazine and it lands near my column. Rotex is pretty popular amongst painters.

Has anyone any thoughts on a spray set up for what I'm after

That cordless spray gun is expensive way out of the £200 price range try 6x more.

You can get it in the UK .

I would go with the earlex spray its brilliant for less then £200

I have spent £700+ on a high pressure setup and I bought the earlex  for £180.

I NEVER use the high pressure setup I only ever use my earlex.  I love it it sprays pretty much anything I need it to, from stains to paints thinned down were required.

Sprays well and is super easy to clean.

I have had it for over 4years now still going strong just recently sprayed a kitchen I made with egg shell

Then I sprayed 80 A-board stands with osmo oak colour stain.

thats the sort of thing I'm after cheers might give that a go, may have to wait a few weeks as bought a robland panel saw yesterday to good to refuse [tongue]

A couple of months ago I bought the Earlex 5500 after reading a few threads here on spray kit.
We had a run on painted cabinets and tried out several hand painting options until we got a great finish...I decided to take a punt on spray kit as a final option and priced up several Fuji, Graco and Q-Tech (Dulux supplied) and ranging from £450 -£800+.
Spotted a thread on the 5500 and picked one up in Screwfix for £180 thinking that if it was rubbish that I'd spray sheds and fences with it but if it was good id experiment and upgrade the kit.
However after two months of constant use its been a revelation for finishes.
I only spray water based finishes with it and took advice (could have been JMB) and got the smaller 1.5mm nozzle kit.
I don't notice a big difference with the change of nozzle but once you get the hang of the paint mix then it's a doodle. I think that's more important than even technique of spraying.
We have been using Leyland Trade water based undercoat and satin and even got our local supplier to add tints to match colour cards we gave them.
Dilute it down with clean water, check it with the viscosity cup and then spray away.
It's nowhere near as messy as you'll think it will be and it dries very quickly.
In summary the Earlex is superb and I'm not upgrading the unit.
Good luck.
Scott

I used to have an expensive capspray hvlp unit I bought for decks and fencing, but I eventually sold it and used a regular airless sprayer with a fine finish tip.  The hvlp units didn't put out quite enough material fast enough for my liking.  Depending on your future uses it may be worth while to use a rental unit airless if available, or if you're more likely to use the sprayer for fine finish in the future than the hvlp would work ok for the current project.
