After sales shadow line modification or add-on for Kapex 88E

So the Kapex 120 is equip with a laser, and the new Kapex 60 can be fitted with a shadow line add-on. Where does this leave the Kapex 88E?

I hope Festool will make an add-on shadow line for the 88E.

Or maybe someone has figured out how to install a non-festoon led light in the 88E, like I see done for many other miter saws in various Youtube posts?

The KS 88E was "value engineered" to be a KS 120 without a laser or some of the other features.  I don't think they were ever very widely distributed or sold well, otherwise they would have stayed in the lineup along with the KS 120 and KS 60.

If someone hasn't come out with a laser or shadow line light for this in the last 14 years since it was introduced, I'm not sure the chances of that happening are very good now.

Since the bodies should be similar, I wonder out loud if anyone ever tried to retrofit the KS 120 laser on to the KS 88.  My guess would be that by the time you paid for the parts, you might as well just buy the KS 120 anyway.
