Curious for recommendations for a combined air/filter regulator, 1/4 or 3/8 size threading. I have an older compressor, oiled, that has a leaking filter. The regulator was busted but I got a used from an older busted unit. I'd like to get more clean and dry air for the tools.

Any recommendations on what brand to get these days ?

Good ones, good quality ones are expensive.  I'd say expect to pay at least $400.  You could get something a lot less expensive and attach a small disposable ball filter at the tool end.  If you go that route, I'd recommend searching for the DeVilbiss HAF-507 since the body is practically indestructable.  Most others are cheap plastic that easily split or the fittings break while using and air goes everywhere, whipping the hose around.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give that a closer look. Off hand the festo looks like the IngersollRand stuff, which I've looked a bit at.

Festo sure has lots of cool stuff. I bet it's cost wise up there.

Here's the company I've been buying my air filtration and spray gun equipment from since '91.  Check out the prices there too.  Everything from Germany's expensive, but the quality is usually unsurpassed.

Sorry about the pricing or lack there of.  You'll have to Google the item and fyi, they have a policy of only selling through dealers, no internet site sales.
