They both are fairly quiet and similar in sound level to the ear.  The difference  is in the sound itself.  The JC10 has a more bass like sound to it whereas the Cadex has a more prrrrt sound to it.  Neither is annoying or seem loudish, they just sound a little different from one another.

The big difference between the two is recharge time.  The JC10 takes a full minute to charge from empty, whereas the Cadex 4 takes 15 seconds.  I think this is a combo of factors.  The JC10 has a somewhat larger tank capicity, but the RPMs of the motor pump on the Cadex runs at twice as fast of the RPMs of the Rolair.

I'm going a bit from my memory from a few months ago when I was evaluating all this, but IIRC the Cadex is 3.8 at 90 psi whereas the Rolair is 2.3 @ 90.

Are the cut-in cut-out preassures the same?

Don't know.  I'll try to remember to look it up.

Any updates?. I was lugging my Ridgid 5way around today wondering why I need such a sluggish beast. I rarely frame any more. Mostly just side and trim interior and exterior. Compressor noise really agitates me so upgrading to something quiet would be great.  Not sure the airstack is quite enough to shingle with tho.....

I got one and like it.  I did order a longer power cord since the one they provide is super short.  I got this one -  SF Cable, 15ft 14 AWG Universal Power Cord - IEC320 C13 to NEMA 5-15P SJT 15Ahttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B007O0ZJKA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_LlGWBbGY6NM09.  I’m moderately irritated that they couldn’t include a longer one but a $14 solution isn’t a huge deal.

Operationally works like I wound have hoped.  I’ve used it for pinning, Brad nailing, and finish nailing so far.  I haven’t been able to throw enough nails concurrently to get anywhere near a duty cycle.

As for loudness, it’s quieter than the pancake one I used before but not what I’d consider “quiet”.  I was actually a little surprised as to how loud it is.  The online videos must not translate.

Weight - heavier than I’d hoped.  My pancake is actually lighter I think.  Easier and less awkward to carry a systainer but, being heavier, I doubt I’ll latch a few more systainers to the top of it and gang carry them.

Inside - I’m able to fit the new 15’ cord and a 15’ coil hose inside and latch it.  That was a nice surprise.

Overall a good buy.  Hindsight leaves me wondering if the pros are worth $500 when my $200 pancake has never let me down.  Probably the biggest benefit ended up being the Systainer format.  It does just drop into my sysport.  The pancake stored somewhat awkwardly.
