Aligning 2 saws on the same set of guide rails

In my spending frenzy, I've procured a used TS75, but I don't want to double up on my guide rails.  I searched, but can not find the post concerning aligning two saws to the same rail.  I'll be adjusting the 75, as I've already trimmed the other rails using my existing 55.

Thanks in advance.

this thread makes me nervous, i just had the 75 delivered to my shop and assumed it would align with my 55   :'(

its the first thing I'll look at in the morning!

If you'll only be using the one saw, heat the rubber strip, move over and recut. Lots easier than adjusting the saw. How to adjust the 55 is here. Not sure if 75 is same.

It is pretty unlikely that you'll have two that match perfectly.

I got this reply (elsehwere):

"Rick Christopherson has published the procedure that follows.

Clamp the guide rail to a piece to be cut.

Cut the piece with your TS55.

Place your TS75 on the rail with the cut piece still clamped under the rail.

Adjust the blade to the cut. The teeth at the front of the blade should touch the cut and the teeth at the rear should have a clearance of about .0015" (I'm not positive about this measurement but have set my TS75, using a feeler guage, to these specs and am happy with the cut quality).

Your TS75 should now cut at the same distance off the rail as your TS55.'
