A customer purchased a table from a company "Hardwood Artisans". They love the 5 sided legs on the piece. I'm not sure why or how exactly it was decided to put a 5sided nosing on the shelves they wanted? I'm sure them raving about the table leg had me say, we can make a nosing". Who knows who cares. They wanted em. I made em. The shelves are installed using floating shelf kit available from tickler. These are pretty good units, but since they're separate brackets for each support point, I'd recommend if you want to use them, that you make them into a single bracket and mount your new bracket to slide the shelf in. I tried using 3 seep rarely and it made it very hard to line each up exactly with the others. Ok. Onto the shelves. There's a curved taper from 1/2 to 5/4 front to rear. They wanted it hat way. The nosing has a curve similar to the table leg curve. It's 5 sided. Pics
