Hey guys this is my first post to this forum and I just wanted to say thanks to Kevin in customer service at The Tool Nut.
Just had a conversation with him about another Pro 5 sander delay and how I thought Festool was seemingly becoming not the brand of tool I was to favor anymore. More too the point, I was considering returning a within-the-thirty day nqa order, a currently in shipping order, and a queued tool order. The decision was not based on tool quality but solely on business practices. I understand this topic has been discussed ad nauseam here. I also understand the Pro 5 promotion was contrived to garner interest from non-Festool users, maybe to cap demand only non Festool owners should have been allowed to order the Pro 5, sure thing. Further, the notion that current Festool owners increasing anticipated demand for a product and causing a production/shipping delay does not a valid argument make. Marketing should have known better. Just wanted to share my thoughts.
The upshot is, thank you Kevin at The Tool Nut for calmer heads do prevail, even if you are a Yankee, ha ha, I'm in the great state of Texas. Uuhh that's in the United States of America.
Enjoy the day,
Michael
