Another RO90 question; RO90 vs DS400

Hey Gang,
Hope you all are doing well.  I own an old (10 years?) RO 150, DS 400, ETS 150/5 and an ETS 125.  I wanted to get the RO 90 due to its smaller diameter pad however I thought it would relegate  the DS 400 to just sitting around collecting dust (pun intended).
Are there any RO 90 users who have had a DS or DTS who either still use both or have "retired" their DS (DTS) sander in favor of the RO 90?

Depends what sanding tasks, you want the triangle sanding function of the RO90 to do - that your DTS400 can't pass muster for. 

For me, quick answer to your question is, no way - completely different sanders, which meet
different sanding needs. 

But, I'm fortunate in having the DX93, RO90 and DTS400 - and have never used the triangle part of the RO90.  Glad I have the RO90 - but don't use it that often to be honest. 

The DTS400 is my go to sander for scuffing paint and finishing prepping; it's, sometimes, cruelly abused - then the cost of frequent pad replacements comes into play. 
Would never ever part with it - love the ergonomics...

I own a DS400, a DTS400, and I have owned the RO90. I retired the RO90, because I thought it was too expensive in use due to Festool's pricing for the abrasives. A very fine sander though and loved to work with it. It never really crossed my mind to compare it with the DS400, though there is some overlap, they're thoroughly different types of sanders.  The DS400 is my most used sander and the last one I'd part with.

Thanks very much for your replies, they were well appreciated.  I think I'll stick with the sanders I have for now.  I can make my 5 inch sander and the DS work on the narrow items I need to finish.
