Hi, it's been a while since I have posted on here and thought I would share a few pictures of my new workbench set up as it nears completion. I have a couple of MFT/3's and a cutting table for the Ts55 that I use but needed a rolling workbench for my small studio/workshop.

I still have to make the drawers and attach the runners for the Systainers and may add a few more storage ideas. I hope you like it.

Nicely done!  There are a lot of good ideas there.  Thanks for the photos.

Mike A.

Sweet!!!  I need to do something like that for my Bosch TS4000 as well as for the DeWalt 745 planer.

[smile]

Nicely done!  I really like the TS integration.  Is the above table dust collection on that saw worth tracking down?  Is it a bosch product?

Looks great.  what are the dimensions of the top?  Do you put sacrificial pieces on it to break down sheet goods?
ALso, curious about the lack of dog holes.  Is that a conscious choice for some reason
(FYI - I'm considering building a new bench and torn between a Paulk style or a Roubo -- or something like this perhaps!)

Hi Brad, it is a Bosch. I have a few spare festool hoses so just bought a Y adapter and connect the larger hose to the underside and the d27 to the top and it works fine. I used ribbed rubber matting to place the tools on and it traps the dust very well and is easy to clean off with the nozzle...if that any makes sense.

Hi Rob,

I can't remember the dimensions,  off hand it's about 4' x 7'. The top sheet is 12mm Mdf and can be replaced. I tend to use the ts55 saw on another bench and the mft' dog holes for assembly. The workbench is the same height so can be pushed up against them for a larger working surface. I might be tempted to add dog holes at a later date when I fit the drawers.

A picture of my workshop before I added a mezzanine office space.

Hi Paul, thanks. Yes it's all storage on the other side. There should be about twenty five or so drawers in total for the Systainers once I get the time to make and fit them.

Howdy Jonathan

Makes perfect sense.  I tried searching for that guard with the built in dust extraction and it's NAINA.  Too bad as I think it's a great idea.  I might see if toolstop can get it for me.

Very nice Johnathan.  I like the power tool cubbies.  My TS55 & Rotex150 never seem to make it back into their systainers.

Nice Job!! Im currently thikning of putting somehting together like this for my garage. I currently have built myslef a ron paulk bench. The bench is awesome and allowed me to buld my shop up but now I need to build a base with wheels and more storage for systainors. Would you have any pictures of the storage you have on the backside not shown?

cheers

Great job!  I like the cubbies for the router, saw, and Domino.  I will have to incorporate that idea if I ever get around to building mine.

Hi Cross-cut Canuk, thanks.  I'm afraid I don't have a picture of the other side but it just the same spacing to fit the Systainers. I will post more pictures once it is finished and I have made and fitted the drawers for the Systainers. I might also add dog bench holes to the top sheet as well.

Hi Gerald, thanks for the message. I hope you get round to building yours and if you do it would be great to see some pictures too.

I like what you have done with that bench.  I don't have room in my own shop to copy.
I do like that tool caddy sitting in the background.  THAT, is just what i do need.  I have a couple of open trays that I try to stack tools that i am using.  The next tool i need is always at the bottom of the tray and i end up with tools and pieces of wood scattered all over the top of my bench.

Years ago, before i stepped onto the Slippery Slope, I built The New Fangled Bench found in an early FW.  When I changed over to MFT's, i dismantled the bench but stored the main beam and the pipe clamps.  I am debating now whether to rebuild that bench or make a Paulk style bench.

I am leaning more toward the Paulk style as I can get more work space using my Festoys.

I have a GTS1031 too and would love the dust collection guard (I've never seen it before). Let me know if you find a source.
