Fall weather is upon us, and I am still sanding.

Just a practical reminder that wearing a lightweight pair of gloves is comfortable on the hands during sanding. A light padded layer between skin and machine helps with grip and absorbs some of the vibration.

Keeps the hands a little warmer too.

Scott - On this note, do you any recommendations for a specific anti vibration glove? Do the anti vibe ones work any better than a normal glove?

thanks ron

I don't have any particular recommendation, the ones I happen to be using right now are No Fear motocross gloves and they are perfect for me. (I am not affiliated with them in any way, just happen to have the gloves).

I am not a glove wearer in general, as much as I should be. My hands take a pounding. I like thin gloves where I can still grip things, operate my phone, change abrasives. So I go lightweight with just enough padding to be helpful. Generally, work gloves have not been ideal for me. I am focusing this fall on improving that habit as I am replacing the roof on my house and splitting and stacking 4 cord of firewood in my spare time  [scared]

Impacto makes really nice antivibe gloves!  Even carpal tunnel support anti--vibe as well [wink]
