Any favorite tool catalog?

Despite the extensive amount of tool vendors' websites, there is something to be said about a good old catalog.  I'm always surprised at what you can find going through one, often finding things I didn't even know I was looking for or existed.  And there is also something to be said about holding a paper catalog in your hands, as oppose to just viewing tools online.

So, do you have a favorite store/manufacturer catalog (other than the Festool catalog, of course)?

Mine would have to be Lee Valley (www.leevalley.com/en/home/CatalogSelect.aspx)  ....and not just the woodworking catalog, but also the hardware one, and even the garden catalog (while I don't garden, you can find anything you need for around the house)

Here in the UK my favourite is the Axminster Power Tools catalogue - and I just picked a new one up today.

I second your view of the Lee Valley one. I have received a number of their updates and press releases and they are all first class. Their illustrations are stunning - great graphic art work.

I agree with peter .axminster powertools has been my favourite for years .

I'm Certain my wife thinks there's more than just tools in it lol

I also really like rutlands .its a really nice catalogue .full of quality stuff

Incidentally I was in Axminster High Wycombe last week and the assistant told me they have a plan to open 30 new branches in 30 months.  I still can't see Truro getting one though  :-(

For years it was the Snap-On Catalog, then it became Lee Valley, with all their various versions like others have posted about.

Have to agree Axminsters catalogue is good. I remember them when they had a little shop on the Chard Road opposite the secondary school, that before they moved to Castle Hill. Now im showing my age, as a lot of the tools i own now came from them when i was still at the school.

I too remember the old days when they had several shops around the town but the new shop, where I spent some money last Friday, is a great improvement.
