Any idea if I can order these stops for MFT1080?

I'm feeling parts list challenged.

I have an MFT1080 and there's a small rounded bar with a screw in it that you put in the side t-track to act as a stop for the guide rail front and back.  I need 2 more for other purposes.  I know I could locate a screw that will fit, but these really fit well and are rock solid; I fear a screw would scoot over.

Any ideas if that can be ordered separately or if there's a worthy alternative?

Thanks!

Paul,

Is this what you are trying to locate:

If so here is the link to the EKat page:  Ekat page

You can order parts thru your dealer or thru Festool directly.

I just got a half dozen of those "feather keys" through Bob Marino.  They actually were only $3 each and are great for attaching jigs and what-not, as well as for stops (which is the "stock" MFT usage).

Depending on what you are trying to attach, look around the EKAT site for the M6 cheese head screws to get the part numbers for the right length.  Whatever length you find, subtract 10mm since the length includes the head, and another 2-3mm for the setback of the key from the extrusion.  So, for example, if you want to attach a 3/4" ply, you need a 30mm screw.  You can use a 25mm screw with 1/2" ply if you recess it slightly, or a 30mm screw with washers.

Wow, thanks Peter! and Wood_junkie... WJ, basically I have some jigs I want to be able to reposition easily and those lock nicely.  I had a square nut and screw and it didn't stay put.

I'll order some for sure. :)

That's exactly why I got them.  Despite the coupla bucks, they lock down solid and don't budge a bit.  As an aside, you can get M6 screws at a hardware store, but from what I've found they're not any cheaper (3-5 cents!), and are often black.  Get them via Festool and they'll look "right" AND the allen wrench on the MFT is exactly the right size for adjustments.  [smile]

You created a monster with that EKAT link.  Some parts dude in Germany is gonna be complainin' in German when this order gets there...  thanks again! wahoo!
