Any members in the Louisville, Kentucky Area?

Not snooping.  My wife has a conference to attend in Louisville July 22 - 24.  I will have A LOT of free time.  There aren't any classes going on at Festool then.  RATS!  I was also considering separating and going off to Las Vegas for the big show, but I think that I will save the bucks.  Would love to know about wood suppliers, stores, etc.  Would also love to meet some Foggers!

I live an hour and a half from there. I have lots of family that live in that area on the Indiana side, but I can't help you as far as any woodworking stores. You can always go see the Louisville slugger plant and watch them make bats.

You might do the Kentucky distillery tour, or head over to Lexington to Kentucky Horse Park and take the 3 hour tour of horse farms.  Amazing if you want to see the countryside and learn a bit more about the Thoroughbred business.

There are several large veneer operations, fabricators etc  across the river from Louisville that you could visit.  Marc Adams school of woodworking is up the road on 65 a little bit --- 90 minutes give or take.  If you call them, they might let you peak in on the classes that are in session so that you could get a feel of the place.  You obviously don't have 5 days to attend one
