I'm trying to get set up to do small fabrications and repairs and am not sure what I can do with my RO 125 and what abrasives are availiable from festool.

Hi Chris,
I fabricate Wilsonart's Gibralter and have used a Fein 6 in sander in the past and have only recently (last two months) owned the RO 150 and a 33 and so I have not figured out the Festool pads to use yet.  I am sure Bob or Tim or any of the other dealers would be more than happy to help with the proper pad for solid surface.

Thanks.  Do you use your 6" sander for fabricating and finishing?  Did the Fien have dust collecting abilities?

Chris,

Contact Domain Industries 1-800-385-7775 or www.affinitysurfaces.com

They are a manufacturer of solid surface materials and (here in Austin at least) also a Festool dealer. their catalog has a nice chart of exactly what abrasive to use in what order to get a particular finish (List covers 4 brands).

I have found them to be excellent for advice and service
