I am having a problem with my Chevy Suburban.  The traction active light comes on periodically when I am on flat dry pavement.  2 dealers haven't been able to do anything and a non-dealer mechanic wasn't any help either.  There is no problem code that is picked up from the computer.  I went to justanswer and have a few suggestions but the dealer said they did all that, who is to say?  They didn't even try to charge me for the diagnosis and I wasn't even put into the system!  I am assuming that will prevent me from filling out a survey.  Help please.

I contacted my dealer service advisor with a similar problem on my 2007 Denali XL.  They had no idea...but neither of us looked in the owners manual.

From page 350:  If the system fails to turn on or activate, the StabiliTrack light along with one of the following messages will be displayed on the Driver Information Center (DIC):  traction control off, service traction control, stability track off, service StabiliTrack. If these DIC messages appear, made sure this will attract system has not been turned off using the StabiliTrack on-off button. Then turn the steering wheel clockwise from the nine o'clock position to three o'clock position. If this clears the message, your vehicle does not need servicing. If this does not clear the message, then turn the vehicle off, wait 15 seconds, and then turn it back on to reset the system. If any of these messages still appear on the driver information center (DIC), your vehicle should be taken in for service.  Hope this helps.
