Are there going to be price increases this year?

[size=12pt]

Can not speak for NA, but yearly increases have recently  happened down here. Increases were moderate; for example full price (ie non discount) of Kapex increased by $50.00 AUS.

Edit, rechecked, $40.00 AUS

Hi, There is a price adjustment annually which usually means about 2-5%, although some tools go up more and others stay the same. Canadians will also likely receive an additional adjustment to take in to consideration that 12 months ago the usd vs cad was at parity to 3% and now we are seeing 10-12% exchange.  So yeah, good time to buy Festool is now in Canada! Especially Planex!

In a couple months (everyone usually has a months notice) you will see some changes.

Thanks
Shawn

I am looking to get a few more goodies and wanted to make sure I beat the increase.

I may have forgot to mention that Atlas has huge festool stock and we ship to Winnipeg free! [smile] Regardless of how cold it is there right now [smile]

You probably have a month or two to make some decisions

Thanks
Shawn

In a nutshell yes, I would think about a 10% adjustment in the next couple months

I would like to say that no price increase has been announced. Any comments on the topic would be speculation.

So is it fair to say that there will be an announcement and it won't just change from one day to the next without warning?

Last year I completely missed any discussion or announcement about price increase in Canada and got caught flat footed.  I'm going into my busy season and it's hard to thoroughly catch what's going on the forum at times.  I'm dreading what increases may be in place for Canada with the drop in the Canadian dollar versus the Greenback.

Kevin, my "speculation" is it will be a significant hit for Canadians and yeah we usually get a month or so notice. I will try to remember to post something when the announcement happens. As Shane said all these are just speculations though.

I haven't seen anything definitive on when prices will be increasing, but I assume they will at some point.  What's the latest word?

I was at my dealer the other day and saw a flier for some festool winter tools.  The small print said that prices were good through March 31st.  SO .... I am assuming that the new price increase will take effect April 1st (how ironic).  But I have a lot of tools on my wish list so I'll be keeping a close eye out for a price increase too.

Matt

Heard from a reliable source that there will be a price increase coming April 1 due to the currency exchange. Could be a high as 10% for us Canadians
