BA-CE Centrotec Adapter with Attic Lid Drill Bit Set

I'm the first to admit I have the odd "slow" moment, maybe this is one of them.

I just received:

Festool BA-CE - 496450
Festool DB Wood CE Set TL 6x - 769093

I wanted to use the drill bits with a Makita drill, hence the BA-CE but the drill bits just fall out of the Centrotec adapter, am I missing something?

You attach a Centrotec chuck to the BA-CE, and then the drills to the chuck.

You need to add something like the WH-CE chuck on to the end of the BA-CE.

I have the BA-CE / WH-CE combination in my bench drill press.

Hi Garry,

That's really helpful, thanks for taking the time to sort me out.  I wish there was a guide to follow for these types of things, none of the spec sheets or product pages suggests you need an additional chuck on top the other bits.

I'll get it ordered asap, thanks again.
