Bags that fit ctl26

Im selling my midi and buying a ctl26

I have always used henry hepa-flow bags on my midi

Which alternative bags do you use on the 26?

The CT26s bags are reusable. Just empty the out (which can be a bit dusty) and reuse. I bought a a box of 5 and after 4 years or so I still have one or 2 left.

Then Im going to get a long life bag for it.

Already got one for my CT22

Even if you don't re-use them, not sure I see the advantage here on using non-Festool bags to save around £6. Why spend c£400 on a dust extractor to skimp on one of the essential parts of the whole system by buying a cheaper alternative from another vendor?

I'm not trying to be flippant here and I'm open to any advice and experience of others.

Got my first CT vac turning up next week so I'm all ears. Am I missing something?

I have not done the maths on the ctl 26 but for the midi

festool paper 5 bags £20 = £5 per bag

hepa-flow cloth 5 bags £3.65 = £.75 per bag

use 3 in a day and its a big saving

I use the hepaflow bags too. Dependant on what im doing i could fill upto 5 in a day.

Did wonder if the hepa flo nvm 3bh or 4bh bags would work. 22 and 40 litre volumes. Ive just seen too that for £30 odd they do a reuseable bag i could put in the midi. https://www.henryvacs.co.uk/acatalog/Re-Usable_Cloth_Zipped_Bag_for_Charles__George_and_all_370_machines.html#SID=114

Have you ever divided 20 x 5 in the uk? its maths here not math so its a little bit more

Simple arithmetic is universal be it called 'Maths' or 'Math'.

An ability to do such basic calculation is vital in woodworking.

Okay I see the argument there especially if your using around three bags a day at £4 (or $5  [wink]) a bag...

Not sure how many bags I'll be going through myself so will suck it and see.

General use is ok it is when you kick up the planer etc they soon fill up

I've just bought a couple of those zip ones this week. Hopefully they will come tomorrow and I'll report back. I never knew the Henry ones fitted. I've got a box of 100 Henry hepa bags which cost £25 (that's 30p each [tongue]) and I've often thought that I can't notice any real difference in the material so now I'm going to try the Henry's too.
